Latin Name: Wisteria floribunda 'Alba'
Habit: A vigorous, deciduous, woody climber ideal for training up an arch, wall, tree, or over a pergola.
Hardiness: Fully hardy and will endure even the coldest of UK winters.
Flowering Season: April, May, June
Planting Time: January, February, March, April, October, November, December
Position: Full Sun to Partial Shade
Soil Type: Any fertile, well-drained soil.
Eventual Spread: Approximately 5m
Pest & Disease Resistance: Generally not bothered by pests or disease.

Spacing: Plant 3m apart at the base of a structure like a wall or pergola to allow for adequate light and air flow.
Watering: Water regularly when first planted, especially during hot, dry weather. Once established, it will require very little watering.
Feeding: Feed every spring with a well-balanced fertiliser such as Growmore or Fish Meal.
Pruning: Prune twice a year to keep the plant healthy and promote flowering. In late summer (July/August), cut back the new whippy growth to five buds from the main woody stem. In late winter (January/February), cut back the same stems by a further 2-3 buds.
