Despite its sorrowful associations, the 'Kilmarnock' willow brings a cheerful presence to any space.
Features soft, fluffy yellow catkins in early spring, followed by vibrant green leaves on elegant, drooping branches.
A true Scottish native, discovered on a riverbank in the 19th century, it loves damp soil and is ideal for wetter spots in the garden or by a pond.

Feeding: The soil in the pot provides all necessary nutrients for the first season. You may wish to sprinkle a little fertiliser around the base when planting.
Pruning: Little or no pruning is required as it creates a well-branched framework naturally, but it responds well to hard pruning if necessary. Note: Young trees may not have a prominent weeping shape initially, but this will develop over time.
