Soil: Will tolerate most conditions but prefers well-drained, loamy soil. If your soil is heavy or sandy, mix in horticultural grit or perlite when planting to improve drainage.
Pruning: For the brightest stems, prune hard in late winter/early spring (Feb/Mar) after the first year. Cut back to a woody base about 10cm (4") from the ground. Feed and water well afterwards to encourage vibrant new shoots.
Pest & Disease: Generally pest-free but can occasionally be affected by cornus anthracnose.
