In built-up areas, it is likely a suitable partner will be nearby.
Watering: Water in thoroughly when planting. For bare root trees, you won't need to water regularly going forward, only in dry spells. For a container-grown tree, water every other day for the first few months, then reduce to twice a week until autumn. In the second year, it should be established enough to only require watering when needed. It is better to water heavily and less frequently than little and often.
Feeding: This is not a hungry plant and does not require feeding.
Pruning: Some pruning should be done each winter to ensure your Pear Tree maintains a productive shape. This can improve yields and prevent disease.
