Planting: Can be planted at any time of year.
Spacing: Plant 3m apart at the base of a structure like a wall or pergola.
Watering: Water regularly after planting, especially in dry weather. Once established, it will require very little watering.
Feeding: Feed every spring with a well-balanced fertiliser.
Pruning: Prune twice a year. In late summer (July/August), cut back the long, whippy new shoots to five buds. In late winter (January/February), cut back the same stems to two or three buds to encourage flowering.
