Our bare root trees are lifted fresh from the field. In winter, they can be stored for several weeks in a cool, dark place. In spring, plant within a few days of arrival.
Water thoroughly when planting. Going forward, only water during dry spells when the leaves start to droop. It is better to water heavily and less frequently than little and often to encourage deep root growth.
This variety has excellent pest and disease resistance. To maintain health, prune to increase airflow, which helps prevent bacterial disease. Keep an eye out for rare issues like fire blight or pear scab.
Your tree arrives professionally pruned. Future pruning should focus on maintaining an open structure.
