Watering: Water well after planting to help it establish. Afterwards, only water during extended hot, dry periods or if grown in containers.
Feeding: Apply a general-purpose fertiliser each spring. Mulching with well-rotted manure is also beneficial, but avoid covering the crown.
Pruning: In autumn, cut back dead foliage at the base of the stems. This exposes the crown to the cold temperatures needed for strong growth the following season.
Pests & Diseases: This variety has good resistance. To prevent crown rot, ensure good drainage and water at the base of the plant. Protect young plants from slugs and snails.
