Watering: Water regularly throughout the growing season, especially during hot, dry spells. Container-grown plants require more frequent watering. Aim water at the base of the plant to keep foliage and fruit dry.
Feeding: Apply a high-potassium fertiliser each spring to promote healthy growth and a good crop.
Pruning: This is a floricane (summer-fruiting) variety. Once fruiting has finished for the year, cut the older, fruited canes down to ground level. Tie in the six or seven most vigorous new canes to your support; these will fruit next summer.
Harvesting: As a floricane variety, it fruits on second-year canes, so you can expect your first crop in the second summer after planting.
