Soil: Prefers well drained, loamy soils. Will tolerate less than perfect conditions but may struggle in poorly draining soil.
Hardiness: Hardy, but may require some protection from very late frosts as this can damage the flowers and reduce the fruit yield for that year.
Pollination: Self-fertile. Doesn't require pollination to produce fruit, unlike many other species.
Pest & Disease: Good resistance. Shows some resistance to Peach Leaf Curl, but you should still monitor for it. Aphids and caterpillars can be washed away with soapy water.
Pruning: Some structural pruning should be done each winter to ensure your tree maintains a productive shape, which can improve yields and prevent disease.

Watering: Water in thoroughly when planting. For the first few months, water every other day, reducing to twice a week until autumn.
