A favourite since the 1700s, 'Williams' Bon Chrétien' is a classic English pear producing large, juicy, yellow fruits with a sweet, rich flavour.
This dependable and productive variety has been recognised with the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Delicious eaten fresh from the tree and an excellent choice for poaching.
Enjoy an early harvest, with fruit ready to pick from late August.
Grown on Quince A rootstock, this tree remains a manageable size (4x4m), making it ideal for average gardens.
Partially self-fertile (Pollination Group 3), it will produce a more reliable crop if a pollination partner from the same or an adjacent group is nearby.
