Species: Apple, Cherry, Pear, Plum

Planting: Plant your trees as soon as possible upon arrival. Choose a sunny, sheltered position in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root system and to the same depth. Place the tree in the hole, ensuring the graft point (the bulge near the base of the stem) is well above soil level. Backfill with soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly. Staking is recommended for the first few years to provide support.
Watering: Water regularly throughout the first growing season, especially during dry periods.
Feeding: Apply a balanced general-purpose fertiliser in early spring.
Pruning: Prune apple and pear trees in winter to encourage a strong framework. Prune cherry and plum trees in summer to reduce the risk of silver leaf disease. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches.
