"We've used Woven Wood before for wattle fencing panels and the service and quality are superb, on other hurdles there is thinner sections and the ends are cut loose not woven back into the panel like these. Good job"

But as for DX absolutely terrible service had three emails on three separate days saying out for delivery and made sure someone was home to take delivery so in the end went and collected myself from the Crewe depot to find one was battered obviously been thrown off or on the truck three or four times so paid for delivery for nothing been in transport all my life so got a good idea of how was damaged DX Crewe need to up your game . Woven wood 5***** great company."
"There wasn't enough notice for me to know delivery was imminent, and suggest there should be a note for delivery people about access to property. Arrived home with lorry blocking lane , and hurdles too heavy , so I had to help him unpack into our drive. The securely capped hurdles which I ordered didn't lock capped? Loose bits. also my solar light was broken , yes it was old , but it did work b4. My brother is coming next week to help me erect them , so let's hope that goes more smoothly Sue."
"This fencing is quality and very well made. My garden looks so much better now having used this capped fencing."
"Really pleased to be fair. There was an issue with the initial products delivered but this was quickly resolved and replacement were sent promptly."
"I was really impressed when my first panel arrived shortly after ordering them. Then several days later another 3. And now I am chasing the further 2 panels to complete my new fence. I ordered them at the biggening of May, and they where in stock, now I have to wait until nearly the end of May for the final two. Customer service has not kept me upto date, I have had to ring and ask questions. . ."
"Fantastic quality hazel hurdles, very substantial. Sadly got damaged in transit and was replaced immediately. Communication was superb all the way through, keeping me informed and replying quickly. Extremely happy with my buying experience and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone."
"These were purchased to replace existing panels which had come to the end of their lives. It seems to me that the new panels are not as tightly packed as the existing ones and are perhaps somewhat more flimsy, the uprights seeming not to be as thick. Also, as they were not protected in any way for transit, one or two shower small amounts of handling damage. Despite this, however, I hope that they last as long as the ones they have replaced (7 years)."

Willow and hazel hurdles are types of fencing made from woven willow or hazel branches. They are commonly used in garden and landscaping applications for their natural appearance and durability. The use of these materials is eco-friendly and sustainable, making them a popular choice for those looking for a rustic or natural aesthetic.
To ensure the longevity of hazel hurdles, use a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine. Typically, a common ratio is one part linseed oil to one part turpentine. This blend helps nourish the wood, providing protection against the elements and enhancing its natural resilience.
Our hazel hurdles are skillfully handwoven, giving each panel its own unique charm and character. While we maintain consistent high standards and thoroughly inspect each product, no two panels are exactly alike. We offer a variety of hazel hurdle options that highlight their distinct and individual features.
Many sizes - and any sizes
Our hurdles are available in multiple sizes, but it's easy for you to cut them to the perfect size -(you have the weaver's permission).Height: easily cut the verticals to size, then simply remove the excess horizontals. Width: more care required - the cut ends will need to be secured with wire or nails to prevent them becoming "unwoven wood".
Hazel and willow hurdles have a rich history as the oldest form of fencing in Britain, dating back over 5000 years to Neolithic times. Today, these environmentally friendly and durable fences are not only perfect for traditional English country gardens but also provide a unique and natural look for contemporary urban spaces. Our collection offers a range of styles including framed hurdles, bunch willow, and split hazel, as well as all the necessary posts and fixings to ensure a secure installation. Explore our selection of hazel and willow hurdles to find the perfect fit for your garden.
Traditional willow and hazel hurdles and screens are a popular choice among homeowners and garden designers due to their versatility and natural appearance that can complement any garden style, whether it's urban or rural.
These hurdles are made from sustainably sourced coppiced willow and hazel, a traditional and eco-friendly method that involves cutting back branches to the ground level to stimulate fresh growth year after year.
In addition to their aesthetic appeal, hurdles also serve as excellent garden fences as they act as windbreaks while still allowing some wind to pass through, thus reducing the vortex effect that solid barriers would create. Overall, willow and hazel hurdles are a sustainable and attractive choice for garden design.
If you live in an area with high winds and have had issues with your panelled fencing blowing over, installing fence panels with gaps can be a wise choice. Gaps allow wind to pass through, reducing the pressure and preventing damage. Alternatively, using a concrete mix can provide added stability and help the fence stay firmly in place even in extreme weather conditions.
Our garden hurdles can be easily adjusted to fit any garden size. If they're too tall, you can easily cut them down to the desired size. For a contemporary appearance, you can choose framed hurdles, which feature handwoven materials inside and a robust outer edge, giving a polished and modern look.
