Flowers: Fluffy white flowers in May and June
Berries: Colourful berries and fruits

Eventual Spread: 4-8m
Hardiness: Fully hardy; as a UK native, it will not be damaged by winter
Soil: Happy in most soils, but prefers well-drained, acidic soil
Pest & Disease: High disease resistance. Not prone to many diseases in cold regions but can be affected by fire blight in warm areas. Lichen may grow on the bark, and deer may eat the berries in rural areas.

Planting: Can be planted year-round.
Pruning: Prune annually during the dormant season. Avoid pruning during the growing season as the sap can attract pests and diseases. Dead or diseased wood can be removed at any time of year.
