A popular native tree, cherished by gardeners and wildlife for its year-round appeal.
The 'Lutescens' variety features unique, rounded light green leaves with a beautiful silvery sheen, most prominent on new growth.
Clusters of creamy-white flowers appear in late spring, attracting bees and other pollinators, earning it the RHS 'Plants for Pollinators' award.
In autumn, the flowers are followed by vibrant orange-red berries, known as 'chess apples', which are a food source for birds like thrushes and waxwings.
This tree reaches an eventual height of 10 metres, making a striking feature in medium to large gardens, but can be pruned to suit smaller spaces.
Our trees are expertly pruned before dispatch to encourage a strong, bushy shape and prevent legginess.
