Spacing: Plant 5-7 plants per metre. For a taller eventual hedge, plant less densely.
Watering: Water well when newly planted and during dry spells for the first year.
Feeding: Not required; this low-maintenance plant gets nutrients from the soil.
Pruning: Trim twice a year, once in early June and again in late September, to avoid removing new shoots.
