Care: Water at the base of the plant to avoid splashing the foliage, which helps prevent powdery mildew. Space plants well apart to ensure good air circulation.
Pruning: Pruning is rarely needed in the first two years, other than to remove crossing or misplaced branches. Afterwards, prune during the dormant season (November to March). Late February or early March is ideal to avoid cutting off the new season's fruit buds.
