Hardiness: Fully hardy. As a UK native, it will not be damaged by winter conditions.
Pruning: Prune annually during the dormant season. Avoid pruning during the growing season as sap can attract pests. Dead wood can be removed at any time.
Pest & Disease: High disease resistance. Can be prone to fire blight in warm areas; prune away affected branches if this occurs. Lichen may grow on the bark, and deer may eat the berries in rural areas.
