Planting: Plant in a sheltered spot in full sun or partial shade. Prefers fertile, moist, but well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, place the tree in the hole, backfill with soil and firm gently. Water well after planting.
Care: Water regularly until established, especially during dry periods. Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the tree in spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Pruning is minimal; simply remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches in late winter or early spring.
