Soil: Happy in most soils. Prefers fertile, well-draining soil but tolerates clay if drainage is improved.

Pollination: Will fruit better when pollinated by another pear tree from the same pollination group (or one group either side) flowering at the same time within a mile radius.

Planting: Can be planted all year round. Water in thoroughly when planting.
Watering: Water every other day for the first few months, reducing to twice a week until autumn. Once established (from the second year), water only during dry spells. It is better to water heavily and less frequently to encourage deep root growth.
Feeding: This tree does not require feeding.
