Feeding: For the best flavour, apply a potassium-rich feed as the flowers begin to show.
Pruning: If planted in late summer, remove flowers in the first year to encourage fruiting the following year. After harvesting, remove old leaves but leave the crown and new leaves untouched to allow sunlight into the centre of the plant.
