Planting Time: Can be planted year-round.
Location: Choose a sunny location in well-drained soil. It will tolerate less than perfect conditions but may struggle in poorly draining soil.
Pollination: 'Victoria' is self-fertile and will produce fruit on its own. However, yields can be improved if another plum tree from the same pollination group is nearby. In most urban areas this is likely, but consider a partner tree in rural locations.
Pruning: Prune each winter to maintain a productive shape, which helps improve yields and prevent disease. The main leader may be trimmed before shipping to encourage a better shape.
Hardiness: The tree is fully hardy, but the flowers can be damaged by very late frosts. This will not harm the tree but may reduce the fruit crop for that year.
