Made by hand in our small farm workshop by a team of 3. This is a new for 2024 design, with a much more luxury, modern feel compared to our other garden planter ranges. The frame is made from C24 graded, FSC Certified 100x50mm profile Redwood, with a premium cladding for the infill panelling. These planters look better the bigger they are, and will make great pots for small/medium size trees. All wood is pressure treated at source and is therefore fully suitable for outdoor use. Built using materials hand selected for our business by local suppliers. We are proud to support other local businesses. Optional Extras Wooden Feet - Thick batons to fully lift the item off of the ground. Castors - Add 4 braked castors to allow movement when full, rated up to 250kg. All items sent via a tracked courier once constructed. For those in northern Scotland, Scottish highlands/NI/Islands please contact me before ordering for a postage quote. Can’t find the exact size you need? Just drop us a message and we’ll be happy to oblige.
We email instructions for assembly to your email, and they are downloadable from the product page. We can also provide them to you on request, if you contact us.
1. Regular Cleaning: It's important to clean your wooden planters at least once a year to prevent the build-up of dirt and grime. You can do this with a mild soap and warm water solution. Rinse thoroughly and allow the planter to dry completely.
2. Drainage: Make sure your planters have sufficient drainage to prevent water logging. Standing water can lead to rot, which can damage your planter and harm your plants. Consider drilling additional holes if necessary.
3. Protective Liner: Consider using a protective liner inside the planter to prevent direct contact between the soil and wood, which can lead to rot. You can use landscaping fabric, plastic or even a thick layer of newspaper.
4. Treating the Wood: To protect the planter from the elements and increase its lifespan, it's recommended to treat the wood annually with a non-toxic, weather-resistant wood sealant or preservative. Make sure to choose a product that's safe for use around plants
