Our corten steel firepits come preweathered, so a patina should begin to develop within a few days of use, but it may take up to 6 months for it to fully develop.
The development of the patina may take up to 6 months, but it could be faster, depending on the weather. If you want to speed up the patina, you can spray the corten steel with water. Just make sure to do it evenly, to get a full rusted effect.
Pre-weathered means that they have already been pre-rusted to speed up the patina development, saving weeks from the development process. It also means that your firepits will arrive with the signature orange colour already developing.
Your firepit will arrive flat packed, with an easy assembly process. The exact instructions for each planter are available on the respective product pages.
